Essential Oils, Teas, & Self Care by Deborah Hunt and Meaghan Hunt is a handy manual that gives information about the potential health benefits of essential oils, herbal teas, and self-care practices. The book gives recommendations for use along with the precautions that need to be followed while using them. Herbal teas and essential oils are supposed to have healing properties and are known to be beneficial to the body. Most of the herbs mentioned in the book for herbal teas are mainly leaves and flowers, and the essential oils are derived from various plants which are made through a process of distillation with water or steam. The authors also discuss some of the super healthy foods that can be added to the diet with their uses and benefits.
Essential Oils, Teas, & Self Care by Deborah Hunt and Meaghan Hunt will educate readers on the benefits of using essential oils and drinking herbal teas in an engaging way. The authors put the concept across in a straightforward and crisp way, making it easy for readers to understand and use teas and oils accordingly. The list of herbs and spices mentioned in the book are helpful and will encourage readers to grow their own herb garden in their backyard, window sill, or terrace, depending on their homes.
Journaling is also one of the simplest forms of self-care practice and this book will encourage readers to put their thoughts, feelings, emotions, and personal moments down on paper or their computer. I like the approach to the topic; it is neat and simple and that makes readers want to try out the recipes and the tips shared in the book. There are other activities like meditation, cycling, acupuncture, reiki, etc. mentioned which gives readers awareness about how to stay healthy and positive in mind, body, and spirit.
